Make a difference
Join us in creating a more inclusive community by getting involved with our impactful initiatives.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life and find something unique and fulfilling in every experience. Whether that’s the joy of giving back to the community, supporting people with disability, meeting people and making friends, or learning new skills – no matter what you put in, you are guaranteed to get so much more out of it.
We are eternally grateful to our volunteers and their ongoing contribution – Good Sammy quite simply wouldn’t exist without them. But we’re in need of even more helping hands. So come and join the Good Sammy family and be part of a better future – there’s opportunities for everyone!
Our volunteers choose us for a number of reasons. For some, it’s all about helping people who live with disability. Others love what we do in the areas of reuse and reducing waste. Many are passionate about op shopping and what they might find in the sorting process.
Good Sammy Enterprises volunteers enjoy:
In return for their support we put on regular morning teas, recognise volunteer contributions through monthly awards and we offer discounts to our Good Sammy shops. It is a small token of how incredibly grateful we are for their contribution.
Everyone!
We need help in our stores, warehouse, Containers for Change operations and our administrative team. Whatever your interests and skill level, we’ve got a role for you!
We welcome volunteers of all ages, from 15 years and up.
Did you know many of our employees have family members who volunteer with us regularly? That’s because they have seen first-hand the positive impact of disability employment and strongly believe in the transformative work Good Sammy Enterprises is doing to improve workplaces and society.
If you are considering working with us, volunteering is also a great way to get work experience and learn more about what we do.
Volunteers will have interactions with our employees who are living with disability. A police clearance is required, along with an NDIS Worker Screening Check. Good Sammy Enterprises can facilitate this on your behalf.
There is always lots to do at Good Sammy Enterprises. We value the specialised skills, energy and enthusiasm of our volunteers. Below are some of the volunteer opportunities available. If you have something else in mind, please get in contact – we’d love to hear your ideas!
If you would like to know more about volunteering please contact us today!
Please note: Due to our obligations under the NDIS and Safeguarding Commission, we require all volunteers to obtain and complete the following prior to volunteering with us. We will assist you to organise this.
Our Volunteer Team will assist you with information to obtain and complete the above, with relevant costs paid for by Good Sammy Enterprises.
