For your ease, Good Sammy is pleased to offer complimentary home collection for furniture items or large donations.

Ensuring our donations can be on sold is crucial to continuing the work we do providing opportunities for people living with disability.

Our call centre will ask a series of questions regarding your donation to ensure smooth collection and avoid costs associated with unsellable items. Some examples are below.

  • Is the item safe, soiled, heavy or torn?
  • Can your donation be broken into pieces for collection?
  • Are you able to place the items in a carport or garage for collection? We have limited ability to collect from inside donor’s homes.

In 2019 Good Sammy collected 72% of home collection requests.

Our call centre operators will clarify in your original collection request call that while your contributions are valuable to us, our logistics team are authorised to make a final decision regarding collection. We ask for your understanding on this matter as the disposal of items unfit for sale creates a significant cost to Good Sammy each year.
